How to: 12/8 Groove with Brushes

How to: 12/8 Groove with Brushes
If you’ve ever played in a wedding band, or a blues band, you’ll most likely have played a song in 12/8 at some point. I know I’ve played At Last by Etta James on many occasions, especially with brushes.
To add to that, there are many current artists that still write songs in 12/8.
Take for example Until I Found You by Stephen Sanchez released in 2021.
Not only is it in 12/8, but the drummers is playing with brushes.
So it’s important to have a basic 12/8 brush groove up your sleeve.
If you want to understand the motions behind the sound, and feel ready when brushes are required, I’m taking on a small number of drummers for 1:1 work.
